Controversy on Publication of AIDS Denialism Paper Continues

A member of the Italian Journal of Anatomy and Embryology editorial board has resigned over the publication of a paper written by longtime AIDS denialist Peter Duesberg that says there is no link between HIV and AIDS, Nature reports. The controversial paper, published in December, challenges estimates of HIV/AIDS death tolls in South Africa and questions the effectiveness of antiretroviral drugs. The paper is a reworked version of one published in 2009 in a journal with no peer review. After protests over that version, the publisher sent the paper to five external reviewers and it was unanimously rejected. The paper was subsequently withdrawn on the grounds of quality and concern for public health. This version of the paper was read by only two peer reviewers, and experts say they ignored flaws: relying on notoriously unreliable data, outright ignoring of data and failing to include data to support arguments.

Dr. Duesberg's claims of the relationship between HIV and A.I.D.S. was clearly explained in his book. We cannot continue to go the with the same propaganda as previously. Its been quite a long time, so the test and medications do need to be reevaluated. HIV is not a death sentence anymore! A.I.D.S. in the United States or Africa or wherever, needs to be reviewed and properly verified of its numbers.
